Characteristics:

Wood-plastic composites (WPCs) are an innovative type of composite material that has emerged in
recent years.
*WPCs combine the properties of wood and plastic. They have similar processing characteristics to
wood and can be sawn, planed, drilled, etc., using woodworking tools. Their unique bonding strength is
superior to that of other synthetic materials, and their mechanical properties exceed those of wood. The
bonding strength is typically three times higher than that of regular wood and five times higher than
that of particleboard.
*They possess a good modulus of elasticity and mechanical properties such as resistance to compression
and bending. Their durability surpasses that of wood materials. Surface hardness is 2–5 times higher
than that of wood. Compared to wood, WPCs and their products are resistant to acids and alkalis,
waterproof, corrosion-resistant, do not promote bacterial growth, and offer sound and thermal
insulation. They have a service life of up to 50 years.
*With the help of additives, plastics can undergo polymerization, foaming, curing, and other
modifications, allowing not only changes in density, strength, and other properties of the wood material
but also imparting antistatic properties, fire resistance, and other special characteristics. WPCs are UV-
resistant and offer good color retention.
